My artwork, inspired by the wilderness within ourselves, embraces our intimate relationship with the Earth.

Alice Garik's ecofeminist photography dissolves the boundary between human bodies and the living world. Printed in palladium on translucent handmade Japanese gampi paper, her images bring tattooed flesh into intimate contact with oceanic forms, botanical life, and wild fauna. She proposes, in the era of climate crisis and species loss, that the body has always been an ecosystem, and the ecosystem has always been a body.
