      • Roots to FlourishThis serpent-dragon, a tattoo, is sprouting roots to symbolize our need to be rooted to flourish in our lives.

We breathe oxygen which trees release during photosynthesis and release carbon dioxide which the trees take in for their own nourishment.
      • Nesting in Our EcosystemA tattooed serpent rests on a nest of twigs. The twigs symbolize the microbial ecosystem we live in and that our bodies extend beyond our skin.
      • Go No FurtherGo No Further is implied by the barbed wire tattoos on her wrists. I added rose petals with thorns piercing to add to this mesage.

The flowers and the woman's body are abstracted to show the similarities in the forms. We and natural objects can exist in harmony.

Installation of three palladium prints on handmade gampi with pearlescent watercolor. These three prints are about COMMUNICATING unacceptable sexual advances. Tattooed on her wrists are barbed wire images. The thorns that intersect the rose petals are symbols of protection. The third print is painted with a symbol of a vesica piscis.
